New Year's Eve 2012

We spent New Year's eve at my parent's house with my brothers and some friends,

Mom cooked dinner, we watched a movie, and had a very low key and super fun night in.

and then the kinect happened:

 

 

We had a blast playing Fruit Ninja, Hole in the wall and many other games, we played until midnight and we all welcomed the new year having fun and with family!

Winter Love

we love to take pictures! and since we had our friend Sherry with us, we decided to take some winter pictures! we were just having fun !!!!

Lunch with the Olson's

This past year we got to know and build a great bond with Kyle and Mayra so it was just obvious that we wanted to celebrate a whole year of doing life and ministry together and we went out to lunch with them.
We always go on and on about our love for ribs and BBQ that they wanted to try one of our favorite places and we ended up at Claim Jumper.
It was an awesome time together and I cannot wait for their wedding next month!!!!

Christmas Eve

Every year my mom's side of the family gets together at my aunt's house for Christmas's eve and this was our first year going over together and we had a great times.
We made a ginger bread house with my little cousins and brothers, ate so much and opened gifts just a little before midnight because the kids were falling asleep and we all gave each other a Christmas hug right at midnight.
After spending the day with the family we drove back home that night and spend Christmas morning with his family, ate some more and exchanged gifts and that was the last time we were normal for the rest of 2012 Ha, we spent the rest of the year sick :( we hadn't been sick together or that sick for that long and it was rough but we both took care of each other until we got better.
I am not going to lie it was not fun and we didn't sleep well for two weeks but by the time New Year's eve came we were feeling much better.

Christmas Road Trip

 This year we spent Christmas Eve with my extended family in Mexicali and the road gave us a beautiful view, first the heavy fog and then the beautiful blue sky:

 

     

I love taking pictures of foggy days and gray skies because we don't get enough of those days here in San Diego and I love them, of course I love our sunshine and paradise weather we get almost all year but when I get a glimpse of those days where I can wear my favorite scarves I am thrilled.

Ugly Christmas Sweater party

I have a church family who knows how to have a good time!

Mel hosted an ugly Christas party at her home and it was a lot of fun!!!
from looking for the perfect sweater, to the pot luck and all the games and great conversations we had that night, it was a lot of fun.
Alayna, Jo and I won the contest for the ugliest Christmas sweater! and in honor of that we had an awkward pose in the last picture, not really I wish I could say the awkward pose was intentional butot was not! Ha, but this picture is pretty funny.
I love spending the holidays with my church family, they are amazing.
I totally forgot my camera all ready and packed up in my bed, what a bummer, so you are looking at ugly quality photos from my iphone. I need to be more intentional about carrying my camera wherever I go, I will just add that to my 2013 resolutions.
