Olson's Wedding

After a year of planning down to the last detail Kyle & Mayra finally got married.
It was a very sweet wedding, from the decorations to the vows everything was very well thought out and organized. Very classy and elegant but most importantly their love was undeniable.
We got to El Cortez at 10am to set up the reception area and by 11:30 we were all done and dashed to the ceremony place to get ready and decorate the church.
The reception was a lot of fun, excellent food, dessert and a night celebrating the newly weds with all our friends.
This wedding was a dream come true for the both of them and I was very happy to have been able to be a part of it.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Olson

dad's birthday brunch

Dad turned 54!
and as much as he doesn't like to make a buzz about his birthday we love to celebrate with him, so we took him out to brunch the morning of his birthday. Mom couldn't come with us because he was working but it was just an excuse to celebrate again with her later on.
Morning brunch with family and friends on a rainy morning was the best way to celebrate his birthday.
we LOVE you dad!!!!

2013 Memory Jar

How many of you caught yourself saying, "Where did 2012 go?!" at the end of last year?
I know I did.
It seems like time moves by so quickly, and special little moments are often forgotten over the years.
I, for one, hate forgetting special memories.
So for those of you who can relate to my memory-loss phobia, this project is for you!

It's pretty simple. The idea is to keep a jar full of jotted-down memories.
You add to it throughout the year.
And it is so easy and you get to re live those memories on the last day of the year, I am looking forward to reading them with my husband on New Year's day.

All you need is a jar, paper, a pen to write your memories with, and a paint pen to make a little design on your jar if you wish to do so.
ENJOY.

they are ENGAGED!!

2013 brought great news to our family!!!
Abraham & Crystal are ENGAGED, and we love it.
Of course this happened at Disneyland, their second home, and as much as I wanted to be there with them I had to work but I had my other brother Pako take pictures and call me as soon as this went down. I was looking at my phone all day waiting for a text or a picture or a call but I knew I had to be patient but when your little brother is about to get engaged you cannot calm down!
I am very excited to see them go through this new season and I pray that God will continue to give them wisdom while planning their wedding and cannot wait to post pictures of their special day later on this year.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
we love you

here we go 2013

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1 & 11
Looking back at 2012 I feel that it was an amazing year of growing and learning. We invested most of of our time to our ministries at church and every day was just better than the day before.
We had our challenges, ups and downs and we learned from our mistakes and even though at times this may not be the funnest times when I look back and think about the seasons of pruning and growing and I am thankful for every season of our lives and marriage.
But last year was filled with great memories and miles stones as well, we celebrated our FIRST year anniversary, I graduated college, we got to meet a lot of very cool people, and shared many great memories with friends and family.
Now that 2013 is here is time to set new goals, I will continue to strive to be the best wife I can be, strive to be the best leader I can be, try to be the best friend I can be and continue to pursue the Lord every day and go deeper in His word.
Being the list lover I am, I came up with lists of things we are believing in and want to accomplish.
Many new exciting moments will come this year and we are very excited for what God has in store for us this year.
I love sharing with my family and friends through this blog so I will continue to write and document what goes on in our simple life, hope you stick around to share and celebrate with us this new year.
