One Year Photo Shoot

My friend Sherry took our One Year anniversary photo shoot at the beach and here are some of our favorite shots:
After one year of being together I can honestly say it only gets better.
We decided to record every year of our marriage with pictures and make a special scrap book with 50 pages and every year we will add one picture of our anniversary starting with our wedding portrait and we will finish it with our 50th wedding anniversary, and then we will begin Part II.
I love my life, I love our marriage and I thank God for my husband every day because God knew exactly what I needed, exactly what I wanted and because I waited patiently in Him, He went above and beyond when He gave me my husband.
One year is easy to say, it may not be a long time but sure it was a GREAT start, can't wait for many many more years to come.

He plays the chords I strum the Ukulele.

Last Saturday we had a bonfire at Coronado Beach and it was so much fun. The Beach was packed but we got a very good spot and hang out there all day.
We played volleyball, frisbee, we ate tons of chips and hot dogs and when the sun came down we started the bonfire to make S'mores.
There were tons of marshmallows, crackers, chocolate, music and great conversations. Since it was on a Saturday and the fire pits at the beach are limited we opted for bringing our own so we didn't have to worry about it.
Thanks everyone for coming out. It was a fun day at the beach with awesome people.

Concert at The Park

The Organ Pavillion

We went to a concert at Balboa Park, every year they offer free concerts at the Organ Pavilion with local bands and a lot of people that come and enjoy great music and a fantastic view of the Organ Pavilion

This was our first time coming and we were glad we did. We had a fantastic time with our friends, shared delicious caramel corn made by The Pickens and great conversations after the sun was down.
My favorite part of the concert was the sing along of the Sound of Music movie theme songs

I definitely recommend the concerts at the park if you are in the area.

San Felipe

The family and I took a little road trio to San Felipe this month.
The weather was so nice we spent the day at the pool and the beach. Even though the ocean is super salty we could not let the opportunity to swim in it since I can not do so here in SD because the water is freezing. The weekend went by really fast, we had a lot of fun.
At night time we went walking downtown San Felipe and the pier and it is such a great walk because everyone is out here walking, dancing, singing and it is just an all around great experience.

Coronado Beach

Beautiful
Don't mind my hair it was very windy.
I move my arms a lot when I talk can you tell!?
I don't remember why were doing this...
we finally got a normal picture
My dad & my brother invited us for a walk to Coronado. My husband and I went and we had a great time walking around the main street where all the little shops are and we couldn't leave our camera at home so my husband was taking lots of pictures.
We love to make our own graphics for TheCitySD so every opportunity we get to take pictures of different backgrounds, textures we take it.
It was a great day, the weather was nice, we had a little bit of wind but we didn't mind.

Girls

Antonella's Brown aunties
From Left to Right: Michelle, Mayra, Jo(A's mom), Me
Last Sunday I had the chance to hang out with Mayra & Michelle but before we left church we took a picture with very much pregnant Jo.
It was a hot day and we made Jo walk around the sun until we found a shade to take a picture, she is a trooper.
We can not wait to meet Antonella in a few weeks.
 Love these ladies.

The Green zone

It had been way to long since the last time they cleaned this alley
This is my hand! I did help!!!
last night we heard something scratching on the side of the house but we couldn't see what it was because we had all these green matter there, so my husband decided to take it all down today, and I helped him out.
It was not that bad, it took us like 30min. to get it all out and it looks great we can actually walk through there now.
My husband is amazing.

4th of July

Jonathan & Charlie were cooking today and it started out overcast until the sun decided to come out around 1
we ate all kinds of food but this was my favorite combo of the day.
Tasha & I ended up wearing sweats it was too cold!
Andruw playing in the sand and a pelican at the beach

Our Independence day celebration was fantastic. We spent the day at Silverstrand with the Godinez family. We love spending time with them they are all like family to us.
Charlie & Jonathan have been friends since they were kids and they could not be any more different but they love each other, which is great for me and Charlie's wife Tasha since we get along very well.

The day started our overcast and we thought it would be like that the rest of the day but thankfully the sun decided to come out for a while and everyone decided to jump in the water except for the older ladies and me (I felt old) but sorry the water was way to cold for me even with the sun out.

The food was incredible, we had a great time listening to music and talking, the view was great.
I could not have asked for anything better.

At the end of the day we were so tired that we decided to skip the fireworks this year and stay home and  maybe get on the roof and watch them from there, but we didn't we just watched the ones on TV from NY and some other ones, and I'm glad we did because due to a computer glitch all the fireworks in SD went off all at once and it was a just a big messy explosion so I was not so sad that we missed them this year.

Happy Independence Day.

The Fair

My husband & I got tickets to go to the fair from our Pastors the other day, so we went.
It was the first time I had ever been to the fair and I can't complain it was really fun!
There are so many things to see, eat and the rides look scary.
I love rides but fair rides have always looked too sketchy for me.
But we had a great time there. The day was overcast but the weather was nice.
