Oh Baby! {Week 24}

Week 24

Cravings: Jello

Dislikes: Nothing in particular

Zara had been moving a lot this week, now you can actually see my belly moving from one side to the other when baby is awake. By far my favorite thing to do is to stop whatever I am doing and feel her move in there. 

The only symptom I had this week was heartburn, it had disappeared for a while there but now its back, it is definitely not as bad as before but I am back taking my tums.

Swollen feet have become a daily thing now, it goes away after putting my feet up for a while.

We are very excited thinking about how our lives will change once we have our baby here with us, we can't wait but we are also enjoying every minute of our lives together as a couple waiting for our baby Zara!

                                                    

Semana 24

Zara se ah estado moviendo mucho esta semana, ahora ya se puede ver mi vientre moviendo de un lado a otro cuando ella está despierta. Por mucho, mi cosa favorita de hacer es dejar de hacer lo que estoy haciendo y sentir su movimiento en ese país.

El único síntoma que tuve esta semana fueron las agruras,ya había desaparecido por un tiempo auqnue  sin duda no es tan fuerte como antes, pero estoy tomando tums y eso me ayuda.
La hinchazón de los pies se han convertido en una cosa de todos los días ahora,pero se mejora después de poner los pies en alto por un tiempo y descansar.

Estamos muy emocionados pensando en cómo nuestra vida va a cambiar una vez que tengamos a nuestra bebé con nosotros, no podemos esperar pero también estamos disfrutando cada minuto de nuestras vidas juntos como pareja esperando a nuestra Zara.

Oh Baby! {Week 23}

Week 23

Cravings: Oatmeal with Brown Sugar.

Dislikes: Styling my hair/ I do it anyways...but most of the times I just put it up in a bun ^

Wow this week was hectic but fun. We have started a couple of new projects this weeks:

-My husband got a new job {yay!!!} we have been praying for a full time job that was related to his career and he got it! God is awesome, and His timing is always perfect.

-We started looking for apartments because **we are moving!!!** Another answered prayer, we are finally getting a place of our own with plenty of space for this little family to grow!

-We started planning our baby showers that will take place in November and December so that is fun, lots of DIY decorations, endless hours of planning and deciding on themes, food, etc. and days filled with graphic ideas for the invitations which they are all done and started to mail out already.

-We have also taken a new responsibility developing missions alongside  Cornerstone Church and IMSD we are very excited for the upcoming missionary trips that will be taking place. Ministry is such a joy and we are just not complete when we are not continually going after God's heart.

Although I have been exhausted this new season of life is very fulfilling and we couldn't be happier with all the changes that are taking place. 

These last few days have been a little bit difficult for me to fall asleep, I find myself feeling tired but wide awake at the same time, all I do is pray and sometimes if my husband is still awake we like to have midnight talks and those are nice. At least I get to sleep a couple of hours straight and wake up ready for the next day.

                                                   

Semana 23

Antojos:  Avena con azúcar morena.

No me gusta: Peinarme el cabello/aunque de todas maneras lo hago casi siempre termino recojiendomelo.

Wow esta semana fue agitada pero divertido. Hemos empezado un par de nuevos proyectos esta semana :

- Mi esposo consiguió un nuevo trabajo { yay ! } Hemos estado orando por un trabajo de tiempo completo que se relaciona con su carrera y lo consiguió ! Dios es impresionante, y su tiempo es siempre perfecto .

- Empezamos a buscar apartamentos porque nos vamos a mover!!!! Otra oración respondida , por fin vamos consiguiendo un lugar propio , con un mas espacio para que esta pequeña familia crezca!

- Empezamos a planear nuestros baby showers , que tendrán lugar en noviembre y diciembre.  Muchas decoraciones que hacer, interminables horas de planificación y decisión sobre los temas , comida , etc, y días llenos de ideas gráficas para las invitaciones de las que ya terminamos y comenzamos a enviarlas.

-Asimismo , hemos tomado una nueva responsabilidad ayudando desarroyar el ministerio de misiones para la Cornerstone y estamos muy emocionados por los próximos viajes misioneros que nos toca dirigir  . El ministerio es una gran alegría y estamos simplemente incompletos cuando no estamos buscando constantemente el corazón de Dios .

A pesar de que se han agotado estoy agotada, esta nueva etapa de nuestra vida es muy satisfactoria y no podríamos estar más contentos con todos los cambios que se están produciendo .

Estos últimos días han sido un poco difícil para mí quedarme dormida , me siento cansada cuando me acuesto pero muy despierta al mismo tiempo, todo lo que hago es orar ya veces, si mi esposo está todavía despierto nos gusta tener conversaciones de medianoche y son agradables . 

Por lo menos tengo la oportunidad de dormir un par de horas seguidas y despertar lista para el día siguiente.

Oh Baby! {Week 22}

Week 22

This week went by too fast I didn't have a chance to write an entry, between designing and creating baby shower invitations,researching for baby registry items, work, meetings and naps my days were filled every second of the day and just couldn't make any time to type. But now I am plying catch up.

Not a lot has changed since last week, my belly is just growing by the second therefore I have spotted some brand new stretch marks which I am not at all surprise, i can feel my skin getting dry and itchy so I knew they were coming,one of the perks of being a momma to be I suppose.

With every day that goes by I fall even more in love with Zara, I love feeling her move and grow and I can only imagine what she will be like.

Ever since I read that her hearing is getting more developed and she can actually hear some outside (loud noises) my husband has been speaking and praying for her out loud every night and I like to bust my worship songs loud  in my car ever morning on my way to work, it's fun because I get to sing too and nobody cares how I sound!

                                                  

Semana 21

Esta semana pasó demasiado rápido que no tuve la oportunidad de escribir lo que paso en la semana. Entre el diseño y creación de las invitaciones del baby shower, investigando sobre lo que necesitamos comprar para la bebé, el trabajo, las juntas y las siestas mis días estaban llenos cada segundo del día y no pude hacer ningún tiempo para escribir. Pero ahora estoy poniendome al día.

No han cambiado mucho las cosas desde la semana pasada , mi vientre es sólo crece cada segundo, he descubierto algunas nuevas marcas de estrías que no me sorprenden para nada , puedo sentir mi piel reseca y con un poco comezón , así que sabía que iban a venir , una de las ventajas de ser una mamá, supongo.

Con cada día que pasa me enamoro mas de Zara , me encanta sentir su movimiento y saber que esta creciendo yo sólo puedo imaginarme como será cuando llegue aquí.

Desde que leí que su oído esta cada vez más desarrollado y puede oír algunos ruidos de afuera, mi esposo le ha estado hablando y orando por ella en voz alta todas las noches y me gusta escuchar mis canciones de adoración en mi carro siempre por la mañana en camino a trabajar , es divertido porque puedo cantar también y nadie le importa como me oigo! 

Baby Gender Reveal!

This video pretty much sums up the whole evening. 

We made cards with a blue and a pink balloon and gave a card to everyone and asked them to pick the color they thought represented the gender of baby. My husband was voting for a boy but he was the one who prepared the balloons because he didn't want to wait any longer to find out so he didn't blow up a balloon.

My whole family were voting for a boy, even though mom was on the fence but really really wanted it to be a boy so she picked the blue balloon, my sister in law and best friend agreed with me that it would be a girl and the rest is history!

We had such a great time with lots of cake (thanks to my friend Mayra) and pink balloons.

Zara Kay

When God answered our prayer of growing our little family we knew we had a grand responsibility. We knew from day zero that this baby was going to inherit daddy's anointing in worship. We don't know if it will be musically just like him or how but we do know that she will have a burning fire within her that will lead multitudes to the Lord and her life will be a living example of a worshiper who will bring light in the darkness and her love for the lord will spread like a wild fire.

When we prayed for names we really had no idea of which name was going to be best for her, we threw a couple of ideas here and there, even had some boy names in case we had a boy but never really thought long and hard about it. People would ask if we had picked a name but my answer was the same always "no, we are waiting to know the gender so we can decide" but it was never up to us. 

Almost immediately after we knew we were pregnant we had the name Zara in our hearts but didn't think much of it because we didn't know what God would be sending us and didn't fall too in love with the name and then had to let it go if we were expecting a boy.

But now we can say that God's plans are perfect and he knew we were having a princess and that her name will be a symbol of her character and perfect calling for which she was created.

Kay : Fuego/ ardiente: Que consiste de fuego de incendio o quema fuerte y brillante

Cuando Dios respondió a la oración de crecer nuestra pequeña familia sabíamos que teníamos una gran responsabilidad enfrente de nosotros. Sabíamos desde el día cero que este bebé iba a heredar la unción en la alabanza y adoración de su papa. No sabemos si va a ser musicalmente como él o en que aspecto exactamente , pero sí sabemos que ella tendrá un fuego ardiente en su interior que llevará multitudes al Señor y su vida será un ejemplo vivo de un adorador que traerá luz en la oscuridad y su amor por el Señor se extenderá como un incendio.

Cuando oramos por nombres para nuestro bebe, realmente no teníamos idea de qué nombre iba a ser el mejor para ella ,teníamos un par de ideas aquí y allá , incluso teníamos algunos nombres de niño en caso de que fuera un niño, pero nunca pensamos mucho acerca de eso. La gente nos preguntaba si habíamos elegido un nombre, pero mi respuesta fue siempre la misma "no, estamos esperando conocer el sexo para que podamos decidir ", pero nunca estuvo en nuestras manos, Dios sabia como debería llamarse.

Casi inmediatamente después de que nos dimos cuenta de que estaba embarazada teníamos el nombre de Zara en nuestros corazones, pero no pensamos mucho de ello porque no sabíamos lo que Dios enviaría y no queríamos enamorarnos de el nombre y luego tener que dejarlo ir si no fuera niña.

Pero ahora podemos decir que los planes de Dios son perfectos y sabia que nos mandaría a una princesa y que su nombre seria un símbolo de su carácter y llamado perfecto para el cual fue creada.

Oh Baby! {Week 21}

Week 21

cravings: Desserts, specially Tiramisu

Dislikes: tying/buckling shoes 

This was an exciting week, we finally found out the gender of our baby! We are having a baby GIRL.

It was like music to my ears. Many family members and friends were so "sure" that I was having a boy that even though I really desired a girl some doubt was planted in me because they just sounded so sure but I trusted my instinct and it didn't let me down, we are indeed expecting a little princess.

This week was very relaxing, with no work I was able to rest and focus on slowing down a bit, since every movement causes me to  loose my breath for a while. Spent quality time with my husband and were able to do a lot of fun activities together and use our zoo passes.

Baby is getting bigger and heavier with each day and although I love to see my belly growing it takes a toll on my back and I get tired a lot quicker.

I experiences a little bit of nausea this week for a couple of days, but it was gone with ginger ale and so far it is all gone again. I am also back to taking naps because I have been running out of energy these last couple of days. 

Our 20 week check up went fantastic, heartbeat was easy to spot and we just love listening to the recording my husband took of baby's heartbeat over and over, we are already in awe and deeply in love with her.

Semana 21

No me gusta: Abrocharme los zapatos

Esta fue una semana emocionante , por fin descubrimos el sexo de nuestro bebé ! Vamos a tener una niña.

Fue como música para mis oídos. Muchos miembros de la familia y amigos estaban tan " seguros" de que iba a ser niño que a pesar de que realmente deseaba una niña sembraron la duda  en mí , ya que se escuchaban tan seguros, pero yo confiaba en mi instinto y no me defraudó , y en efecto estamos esperando una pequeña princesa.

Esta semana fue muy relajante , sin trabajo tuve la oportunidad de descansar y relajarme un poco , ya que cada movimiento me hace perder el aliento por un rato.. Pasé tiempo con mi esposo que también esta de vacaciones y pudimos hacer un montón de actividades divertidas juntos y utilizar nuestros pases del zoológico.

La bebé cada vez esta más grande y más pesada y aunque me encanta ver mi vientre creciendo también cansa a mi espalda y me canso mucho más rápido.

Tuve un poco de náuseas esta semana por un par de días , pero se calmaron con ginger ale y hasta ahora solo fue temporal. También empece de nuevo a tomar siestas porque he estado quedando sin energía estos dos últimos días .

Nuestro chequeo de 20 semanas estuvo muy bien , escuchamos el latido del corazón y fue mas  fácil de encontrar y nos encanta escuchar la grabación que mi esposo tomó del latido del corazón de la bebé una  tras otra vez. 

Estamos completamente enamorados de ella.
