Pink Hair

I am not the type of person to dye my hair a crazy color, but NEVER say never.

This year I was a little bored of looking the same, and since I am trying to grow my hair long I decided to get a little pink in there.

When I was reading this morning some of my favorite blogs I came across these quotes.

I figured they were very appropriate as I am getting ready to step in to a new season in my life and I keep going back to what I like to do and how I can incorporate more

Marriage & Godliness

One year One month and Eighteen days since we got married.

This year has brought many learning experiences, many challenges, many joys and the best of all we have faced them all together.

I will not say we are perfect but we sure strive to do the Lord's will in our lives every day and therefore we see the fruits reflected in our marriage.

I am thankful every day for my husband and for the season we are in. Sometimes it is hard to understand why we are going through whatever it is that we are going through or why is it that we are not yet where we "should be" but His word always reminds me that "His thoughts are not my thoughts, neither are His ways my ways (Isaiah 55:8) and I am able to get back on track. 

God will take care of us if we trust Him. 

I want to put most of my efforts into growing in godliness. I want to be more concerned about the condition of my heart.

Mexico Celebrates Independence Day

Mexico celebrated 202 years of independence this past Sunday. The festivities focused around the Plaza de la Constitución, or Zócalo, in Mexico City – one of the largest public plazas in the world. Every September 15 at 11PM, the President of Mexico rings a bell and yells a cry of patriotism called the “Grito de Dolores” out to half a million spectators while waving a Mexican flag.

TheCitySD turns ONE

 This month we celebrated ONE YEAR with TheCitySD

After having a series of summer events we went back to our church location and had two amazing youth group bands play with us.

We worshiped, played games, ate cake and had a great time celebrating an amazing year of ministry.

We could not have done it without all the leaders and people who volunteer their time.

We are looking forward to an even greater year.

The Band

Our friend Julia turned 30 this month! and her husband threw her a 1920's birthday bash. They went all out and it was fabulous. Everyone dressed up and played along.

The jazz band was playing through the night and gave the place a great atmosphere and every detail was just perfect.

Jess made the beautiful cake you see on the top, she is truly wonderful.

We had a lot of fun, it was one of the best parties I have been to.

WOW! This month shall be named the month of the babies! Two new babies very dear to my heart were born and I can not get enough of them. 

Baby cousin Iker Rubio (08/25) & Antonella Luehmann (08/16).

It was a great month.  

Oh and I also dyed some of my hair PINK!

I love Her!!! Happy birthday Sistah!

My friend Alayna turned 26 this month! and she went out of town to visit her family, so when she was gone Erin, Michelle & I planned a surprise birthday party for her.

If you know Alayna you know she likes to be on top of things, so a surprise as well as hugs are not her thing but we did it anyways and we hugged her too! hahaha it was FANTASTIC!

Some of her friends from church came out and we ate some awesome home made finger food made my Erin  & Michelle who also hosted the event. These girls are amazing.

The wall you see with the print out pictures are things that make Alayna Laugh and are just so her.

It was a fun night.
