Tourists for a day

Last Saturday the weather here in SD was gorgeous and since it was our day off, my husband and I decided to go walk around town and take pictures. We have been wanting to make new invite cards for the youth group and he said since we didn't have any plans for the day we should go out and look for "walls" to take pictures! yes i said walls...I thought it was funny but he wanted to find a textured wall to use as the background for the invites and so we did. We ran a few errands before and then we drove to Downtown on our journey to photograph walls.
I don't know what was going on here ^ there was a bunch of people just being loud on this bridge

This time around he did most of the photographing, he knew what he was looking for. We found a couple of interesting looking walls we'll see what we come up with and I just enjoyed our walk together around town.
Don't mind my hair! I did not feel like styling it.

My husband and I
My husband has a masters degree in Counseling and guidance from PLNU and got his bachelors degree in English from SDSU.
He is very talented, plays guitar and sings and also an amazing graphic designer and creative all around, as well as an inspiring leader.
We love serving together at church, we are currently helping on the developing of missions with IMSD while working in our full time in out careers.
I love my little family of two+1 on the way {our baby Zara}

You are my cup of Tea

I love my husband and whenever we have time we like to sit down and watch movies or talk and just enjoy each other's company. Today I was not feeling too good so I decided to stay home and he didn't work so we spent the whole day together until I had to go to the gym and my plan was to stay in bed the whole day BUT little did I know I ended up running errands with him all day which it was not bad at all.
Everything started with an oil change to his car, which led to buying a million and one things at walmart to clean the car's interior. I ended up scrubbing for a long time since it was MY idea to do a DIY interior detailing :/ but it was fun.
Then we went Costco, drove to El Cajon to trade some guitar pedals and came back home to do some homework.
After the gym we watched "Bridesmaids" and read a devotional afterwards. I even had time to catch up with my blogging. God is good!
My day was very productive.

At the gym

This week my girls & I started on Week 3 at the Gym and I am not gonna lie it has been a challenge but very worth it. We go Monday through Thursday and I do spinning at home the rest of the days except Sundays because that is my day off.
Every day we work out something different, arms, legs, back, etc. but we always start with cardio and end with abs. It feels so good to have a routine and to be disciplined. This girls keep me on my toes and challenge me to keep going and most importantly they make it fun.
I love the gym it is super chill and people mind their own business which it is great.
I don't know if i is the location or what but I've bumped into people from all over, friends, people from school and random people I know, it's super fun.
I will try to document my progress and hope to get to my goal soon! I have seen some gratifying results already and that boosts my self esteem for sure.

The City {April}

Embracing the camera
My husband I have the privilege to oversee our church's youth group and this month we had an acoustic set of worship and a message on how to live a life of Worship.
My friend Mayra and I have been working on the video department and we love it...well I do, and she seems to enjoy it as well...she doesn't really have a choice lol!
The City it is once a month but we prepare for it for the whole month, trying to get innovating games and to create an atmosphere were people can come and feel comfortable. It is really fun! I look forward to this day every month.

Celebrating Grandma

HAPPY B*DAY to my Grandma!
We drove to Mexicali to celebrate my grandma's birthday with the family. It is always a trat when we make it down there because not only I enjoy the ride over there but the weather, even though my husband doesn't like ht weather he was a champ and went with me.
Grandma was showered with gifts and love from all of us. We had a great time. Too bad we had to come back the same day.

JP is almost here

My friend Luz is having a baby boy any time now! and back in March we celebrated with her and her husband with a baby shower. Everything was so cute, the food was delicious, everything home made, one of the perks of being Mexican is that all the food is delicious :)
Now all we have to do is wait for JP to come to this world.
