Fun at Pier1

Once in a while my husband and I have some errands to run and we are not too excited about it, so we try to make the most out of grocery shopping, taking care of things so  we like to go to our favorite stores and just walk around and fill our brains with inspiration.

Pier1 Imports is a great place to go and get new inspiration for new projects, for our place or just to unwind. 

I love our spontaneous fun.

For my birthday my girlfriends Mayra and Jo (whom by the way found out this month that she is pregnant also!!!) took me to the Twilight at the park and we had a lovely picnic at the steps while we listen to latin music and watched people dance. 

It was a lot of fun! and since Mayra forgot the cheesecake at home we had to light a candle on a little straw pastry.

It was a very nice birthday treat, Thank You ladies!!!

Baseball fun.

After a week of being home sick I really needed to get out of the house and we got tickets for the baseball game.
It was very nice to get out of the house with my husband and walk around downtown and enjoy some baseball. we had tons of fun people watching, enjoying the weather and just spending some quality time outside our place, we love every time we get to do something out of the ordinary.
This was a great start to our summer, I am on summer vacation and I am looking forward to all the summer activities we get to do and cannot wait for my husband to be on summer break also pretty soon!

Disney California Aventure

For my brother's birthday we went to Disney California Adventure it was my husband's and I first time there, we had a great time.

 A day out with the family is always a lot of fun, and to spend it with them at Disneyland was even better!
We went on a Sunday, we all took the day off and the weather was perfect, we went on every single ride we wanted to get on and we laughed super hard.
I felt like a little girl going on every ride, the anticipation, and all the fun sharing it with my husband was just priceless.
we couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate Pako's 25th Birthday!!!!

Pakks 25th Birthday

This month was Pako's 25th birthday and we celebrated all weekend long!!!

it was a a big birthday to celebrate with him.

we started with a family brunch, but my younger brother was not there, he had to work but he joined us after for lunch at Negro Durazo seafood, the food is phenomenal, they have live music and we had a lot of fun!

And we finished the day with a movie & cake at my parent's house

a Cupcake tradition

Ever since we met, my friend Mayra and I have bonded over JUNK FOOD

I know, sad but true one of my guilty pleasures is anything that is junk I love and so does she, even though I try to eat healthy and avoid it I have to give in sometimes.

We have a tradition where we take each other out for our birthday and try a new cupcake place together and I must say it is a pretty sweet tradition!

This year I took her to Sprinkles for her birthday and as we were so excited to have our cupcake we also found some cute little shops around there an decided to go in and explore.

We found a little store where they have everything for scrap booking, awesome papers and cards and it was just DIY heaven!

Can't wait for June so we can try another cupcake place together for my birthday!

boys & piñatas

Our friends' kids had a birthday party and here it is what went down

Piñatas are a lot of fun, it doesn't matter how old are you hitting a piñata and getting all the candy out is always a delight.

Our friends have two boys and this year they decided to combine their birthdays and we had a lot of fun celebrating with them.

My husband was helping out getting the piñatas ready and of course he had to be on the roof.

Some of my best memories as a child is seeing my dad on the roof holding the piñata with my uncles and seeing how much joy it brought to them moving them up and down and making us work for it was awesome and now seeing my husband do the same for our friends' kids and in the future for our kids makes me remember my childhood.

Anyways the party was great, my friend Tasha made a delicious cake and we always have a blast hanging out with them.

Happy BIrthday Lucy + Michelle!!!!

Last weekend we celebrated two wonderful ladies, Lucy & Michelle

It is always so much fun when we get together with friends and celebrate together, we went to the Macaroni Grill in Eastlake and we pretty much took over the entire place, it was a lot of us therefore it was fantastic.

This restaurant it is one of my favorites, not only because the food is delicious but they give you crayons and you can draw all over the butcher paper they lay on top of the table and you cannot help it but to doodle all over it. Since it was an italian restaurant and had a cake for the birthday ladies we sand our traditional "Happy Birthday" and one of the waitresses came over and sang in Italian.

Even though my husband and I didn't get to it because they took a very very VERY long time to bring it out and it was so late and everyone was almost all done eating we truly enjoyed the company and the conversations.
