Yesterday I had the day off from school and my husband didn't work, so we ventured ourselves to the Japanese Friendship garden at Balboa Park because 1) I had to write a reflection paper for one of my classes and 2) because it was a beautiful day to walk around the park.

I love Bonsai trees |
I am not gonna lie, whenever I HAVE to go somewhere it is like...hmmmm I don't really wanna go, this time I had to go to the Japanese garden for my Art of China class and write a paper and I was not very excited, but my husband agreed to come with me and he told me we could even take the camera and take some pictures.
Once I was there my whole attitude changed, I had never been drawn to the Japanese garden before, I had walked by it and that was it...but this time we went inside and it was wonderful.
Growing up my dad was always telling stories about history and specially about Japan, China and all of that, and we watched The Karate Kid over and over!!!! all of them! and going there brought back so many childhood memories that on our way back home I had to call my dad and told hin we should go visit the Japanese garden together.
It was a great day over all.
