Zara's baby shower #2

A week after our first baby shower with family, we had another one with friends. The weather was very shifty, it was sunny in the morning and then it started raining but that didn't stop our amazing friends from coming over and celebrating with us.

Food, raffles, rain, laughs and great company with the people we love were the highlight of our day. I just want to thank everyone who came and made this day so special. 

Also to those who made the shower possible, I couldn't have done it with out my mother in law's help, my husband and my awesome friend Mayra. Also my sister in law and my brother (Abe&Crystal) who hosted both of our baby showers in their backyard.

Zara got way too many cute outfits and essentials for her big debut and my husband and I are just so blessed to have friends who have been and will continue to be with us through the seasons to come.

Zara's baby shower #1

   

It has been some crazy busy months, with all the holidays and family and pregnancy I just haven't had a chance to blog anything other than my weekly belly pictures which I almost force myself to do so because I know I will regret not having them when she is here to look back at when she was living in my belly.

Anyhow, this is about Zara's first baby shower. We had it the last weekend of November, a week after Thanksgiving so our family that lives out of town could be with us. We had a great time celebrating with extended family and friends.

As usual we love giving back, so my husband planned a couple of raffles and gifts to go with them and we had a blast. Zara is trully blessed to be born in to a loving extended family who is just as excited as we are for her to be born.

I asked my brother to photograph the even so I wouldn't have to be the one photographing while entertaining, and he did an awesome job. BUT, when he uploaded the pictures to send them to me he lost them in cyberspace, so I guess my mom's iphone photos would have to do.

Oh Baby! {Week 23}

Week 23

Weight +16 Lbs.

Waist +10 inches

Cravings: Oatmeal with Brown Sugar.

Dislikes: Styling my hair/ I do it anyways...but most of the times I just put it up in a bun ^

Wow this week was hectic but fun. We have started a couple of new projects this weeks:

-My husband got a new job {yay!!!} we have been praying for a full time job that was related to his career and he got it! God is awesome, and His timing is always perfect.

-We started looking for apartments because **we are moving!!!** Another answered prayer, we are finally getting a place of our own with plenty of space for this little family to grow!

-We started planning our baby showers that will take place in November and December so that is fun, lots of DIY decorations, endless hours of planning and deciding on themes, food, etc. and days filled with graphic ideas for the invitations which they are all done and started to mail out already.

-We have also taken a new responsibility developing missions alongside  Cornerstone Church and IMSD we are very excited for the upcoming missionary trips that will be taking place. Ministry is such a joy and we are just not complete when we are not continually going after God's heart.

Although I have been exhausted this new season of life is very fulfilling and we couldn't be happier with all the changes that are taking place. 

These last few days have been a little bit difficult for me to fall asleep, I find myself feeling tired but wide awake at the same time, all I do is pray and sometimes if my husband is still awake we like to have midnight talks and those are nice. At least I get to sleep a couple of hours straight and wake up ready for the next day.

                                                   

Semana 23

Antojos:  Avena con azúcar morena.

No me gusta: Peinarme el cabello/aunque de todas maneras lo hago casi siempre termino recojiendomelo.

Wow esta semana fue agitada pero divertido. Hemos empezado un par de nuevos proyectos esta semana :

- Mi esposo consiguió un nuevo trabajo { yay ! } Hemos estado orando por un trabajo de tiempo completo que se relaciona con su carrera y lo consiguió ! Dios es impresionante, y su tiempo es siempre perfecto .

- Empezamos a buscar apartamentos porque nos vamos a mover!!!! Otra oración respondida , por fin vamos consiguiendo un lugar propio , con un mas espacio para que esta pequeña familia crezca!

- Empezamos a planear nuestros baby showers , que tendrán lugar en noviembre y diciembre.  Muchas decoraciones que hacer, interminables horas de planificación y decisión sobre los temas , comida , etc, y días llenos de ideas gráficas para las invitaciones de las que ya terminamos y comenzamos a enviarlas.

-Asimismo , hemos tomado una nueva responsabilidad ayudando desarroyar el ministerio de misiones para la Cornerstone y estamos muy emocionados por los próximos viajes misioneros que nos toca dirigir  . El ministerio es una gran alegría y estamos simplemente incompletos cuando no estamos buscando constantemente el corazón de Dios .

A pesar de que se han agotado estoy agotada, esta nueva etapa de nuestra vida es muy satisfactoria y no podríamos estar más contentos con todos los cambios que se están produciendo .

Estos últimos días han sido un poco difícil para mí quedarme dormida , me siento cansada cuando me acuesto pero muy despierta al mismo tiempo, todo lo que hago es orar ya veces, si mi esposo está todavía despierto nos gusta tener conversaciones de medianoche y son agradables . 

Por lo menos tengo la oportunidad de dormir un par de horas seguidas y despertar lista para el día siguiente.
